Consolidating the hospital’s data and improving patient care are two major accomplishments recently described to us by one of our hospital customers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Corepoint Integration Engine serves as the catalyst for their health data activities and allows the organization to gain full control of their patients’ health data. Their IT team has access to a myriad of system performance information about the enormous amount of health data transmitted between systems and applications.
Here’s how their enterprise data integration manager described their accomplishments:
Consolidate the data
“Corepoint Health has been a big influence on our Interoperability refers to the ability of two or more systems or components to exchange information ... More success. Their engine has allowed us to use all the information inside of our hospital in a consolidated manner, including using custom logic, enhanced workflows, automated workflows, as well as setting trigger events on the data that passes through the engine. Those trigger events can send us alerts or allow for further analysis.”
Improve patient care
“We needed a way to view the hospital whole-heartedly, holistically, when it came to looking at information across the organization. This includes information on how we’re doing: how many rooms are available, how many rooms have certain types of patients, each patient’s current status, the status of their orders, and any other numbers of items, but in a consolidated manner. Using the engine to consolidate this important information is one way we’re bringing all this information together to improve the care of our patients inside the hospital. It allows the nurses to be aware of what’s happened or what is about to happen based upon the results – which helps them prepare to do their job when it needs to be done.”
