Our annual user group conference is coming up quickly, Oct. 2-4, in Plano, Texas, which is located just a few miles down the Dallas North Tollway from our corporate offices. Like last year's event, we've scheduled several educational presentations on emerging standards and health IT trends, as well as several hands-on product training opportunities with several interoperability experts.
Here are a few "emerging standards" sessions that I am really looking forward to attending:
- HL7 FHIR, presented by Corepoint Health CTO Dave Shaver
- Direct Project, presented by Product Manager Rob Brull
- How to set up a private HIE, by Rob and Jon Mertz, VP of Marketing
The following Corepoint Health product-specific sessions will be full of information and ideas that attendees can take back with them to implement in their health IT environment:
- Innovative interfacing projects
- Corepoint Outreach Manager
- Interfacing beyond the engine
I'm also excited about our keynote speaker Elizabeth Stefanski, chief market maker at the Business Innovation Factory in Providence, R.I. Eli will talk about how innovation in health IT is creating social change. You can follow Eli on Twitter: @elithechef. Eli, of course, has a tough act to follow: last year Regina Holliday inspired us all through her artwork and her presentation, which deservedly received a standing ovation.
Here's a choppy video I recorded on my iPhone of Regina in the hallway after her presentation. She describes the paintings she composed during Connect 12 sessions:Tags: Corepoint Connect
