himss analytics identified 18 technologies with positive growth potential that were set to take hold in the industry. this predictive analysis utilized data on technology adoption from 2010 to 2014. himss analytics has analyzed the changes in buying intent from 2014 through 2015.
interesting look from our friends at himss analytics on what it purchases are on top of the list for many hospitals in the u.s. four out of the top six were what himss analytics calls "growth technologies."
the slides show that meaningful use is still a factor in decisions… we wonder how much that will change now that the onc has declared that 'meaningful use is effectively over.' either way… interesting to see where the dollars are being spent, and how much of these purchases are connected to value-based payment and a move away from fee-for service.
